Kids into Health Careers:NNH AHEC has addressed the increased need for health professionals in northern New Hampshire by developing a health careers “pipeline” to guide those interested in pursuing a career in health care.
How?
· Foster Interest: Our AHEC Program Coordinator works with students and teachers to foster interest in health careers by providing continuing support and “hands on” assistance directed at recruiting North County students into health career occupations.
· Information: We offer dynamic in-school presentations
· Opportunity: We organize and carry out Health Career Summer Camps for junior high students.
· Nationally Recognized Programming: Our Youth Health Service Corps (YHSC) program is a health careers recruitment program that engages diverse high school students as leaders in meaningful community service learning that addresses community health issues.
